About Us

SSE Airtricity has been harnessing our greatest natural resource for the past 25 years, providing cleaner, renewable energy for homes and businesses across Ireland. The company recognises that climate change is one of the greatest societal challenges of our time, and as an established and trusted energy partner, its mission is to empower and support customers on their journeys towards a net-zero energy future.

Since 2008 SSE has invested significantly in Ireland, with a total economic contribution of more than €3.8bn to the economy. SSE owns and operates 31 onshore wind farms across the island of Ireland, totalling 700MW, capable of generating enough wind power to power over half a million homes annually and offsetting over half a billion kilos in carbon emissions.
