The Mad Executioners

A shadowy figure known as “The Executioner” is terrorising London. One by one, criminals who have escaped justice are captured, tried in secret, and hanged with a historic noose stolen from Scotland Yard’s Black Museum. As Inspector Hillier investigates, he uncovers a clandestine organisation dispensing vigilante justice in the name of moral order – but who is really pulling the strings? 

Produced by Artur Brauner’s CCC Film and based on a novel by Bryan Edgar Wallace, THE MAD EXECUTIONERS is one of the key entries in the long-running cycle of German “Krimi” films that dominated West German cinemas throughout the 1960s.
