ASSISTED SOLO

“Sometimes it seems easier to live a life than watch it being lived. Different situations require different survival mechanisms but the strongest we’ve ever felt is when we’re dancing”.

Assisted Solo is about three people using each other or whatever else they can to make their own perfect dance and laugh in the face of what life throws at them.

Philip Connaughton, is joined onstage by long-time collaborator Lucia Kickham and acclaimed French dance artist Magali Caillet (Musée de la Dance; Philippe Decouflé Company DCA). Together they are accompanied by their memories and hopes in this raw allegory of life which will make you laugh, cry and dance in your seats.
