ARMAGEDDON TIME is a deeply personal story on the strength of family, the complexity of friendship, race relations, and the generational pursuit of the American Dream. It is 1980 in the New York borough of Queens and 12-year old Paul has just begun sixth grade. Here he befriends a rebellious kid named Johnny and each of them have dreams and aspirations for the future. But as their escapades get them into trouble at school, Paul starts to see the world differently to how he did before. ARMAGEDDON TIME is an autobiographical tale inspired by the childhood of James Gray, the acclaimed filmmaker behind such films as AD ASTRA, TWO LOVERS and WE OWN THE NIGHT.
